Dear Readers, Lewis and Clark/Helena National Forest held their annual International Migratory Bird Day Festival at the Helena Valley Regulating Dam last weekend. Had a great time attending and signing copies of Henry the Impatient Heron. It was a beautiful day for a festival. You can’t see their heron rookery from here, but it’s near the far away trees in the background across the lake. It is full of nesting herons, so if you are in the area, be sure to check the rookery out. Great heron watching opportunity!
Happy Reading,
Donna
